NUMA is the portfolio of the Designer and Creative Director Arnaldo Boico, with selected projects between 2010-2021

I am a Designer and Creative Director, with gypsy soul and free mind, currently based in London, with more than 15 years in the creative industry. I’ve explored from digital design to print campaigns, from films to social media. Always learning, mostly art-crafting, never regretting.

With the pandemic curtailing key celebration moments for friends and families in real life, the accompanying gift exchanges of bottles of spirits had moved online too.

Message in a Bottle: a virtual gift tag that uses Amazon API Speech to Text technology to detects meaningful keywords within the personal voice message and converts them into one-of-a-kind dynamic animation for the special person.

During my experience lecturing at MIAMI Ad School, I have been invited to participate of the visual ID for the Design, Strategy and Technology Bootcamp. Together with other teachers, we've created promo videos, banners, social media campaigns and website assets for the course. 

For this project, we've worked with 3 flat shapes, transforming them into to incredible 3D sculptures, referencing for the 3 pillars of the course.

BT has undertaken a complete overhaul. At the end of 2019, it began a transformation, which included rebranding its EE stores as BT and introducing help desks and services across its broadband and mobile ranges.

The concept ‘BT - Beyond Limits’ was one of the biggest campaigns from Saatchi London in 2019, result of a collective effort. This campaign was also BT’s largest brand campaign for the last 20 years, and included a full brand relaunch, new digital positioning, social media communication, OOH, and many other touch points.

I’d worked in this campaign from the pitching phase to the final delivery - and I have to say: this has been the largest campaign I’ve worked in my life.

‘Where the titans rise’ was an illustrative campaign, where the form and style are the message. The colours was chosen inspired by traditional oriental print references, and the line artwork style has followed contemporary chinese illustrations.

We've done a set of 5 scenes in different formats, where each piece shows a different player competing in the field. These 'titans' were surrounded by the public, expressing different reactions related to the tournament.

dr.consulta was the first health-tech in São Paulo, and it has born with a very simple concept: offer the sort of universal access of the public health system, but with the quality and timeliness of the private health market.

I've worked inside their house-agency to create, develop and design the new visual digital product of the company. We have also collaborate with the new advertising campaign, to reposition the company to the brazilian market.

Credits for INTERBRAND regarding the new brand, and W+K São Paulo for the advertising campaign.

I think every designer's dream, at least once in life, is to open a studio and work independently. I was lucky to make that dream come true, and I was very happy with my venture.

Located on one of the coolest streets in São Paulo, Estúdio ALMA focused on design and motion graphics, working as a consultant between agencies, design studios and direct clients.

The clients list had included Apple, Asics, Comedy Central (VIACON Group), FIESP, Museu de Arte Sacra, LUMY, among many others.

The online film affords viewers the opportunity to make Henry’s choices, via a choose-your-own-adventure style interaction. Leo Fitzpatrick of The Wire plays Henry throughout the film’s nine different story lines and 32 potential endings.

Starting out as a an apparently normal, mundane day, that story may escalate from deciding on breakfast cereal to shooting rats to being kidnapping and tortured by instrument of choice, among others. The outcome depends on the viewer’s choices on Henry’s behalf.

This website has been one of the first world's interactive films of the world.

Description
Platinum is the most precious and rare metal in the world, but it's mainly known for its pureness.

We started from this point to think the concept of the Triennale di Milano  exhibition, based on pureness and eternity through the reference of the water for its strong similarity: pure and eternal natural element.

The online experience was realized around the concept throught 23 video transitions where the rings appear to be shaped by the water. A long process of 3D modelling and fluid simulation was realized to create an emotional impact on the user but also to respect the original geometry of the designer's projects.
